Oyakodon

A simple dining recipe for a portion of delicious Japanese food. Chicken, eggs, sauce, mirin, onion, green onion, dashi, sauce for fish and rice are necessary. You can make it by boiling 1 1⁄2 cup of water and adding one teaspoon of Thai fish sauce when you do not have dashi soup stock.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ pound uncooked chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 pcs eggs
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cup hot steamed rice
  • cup Japanese fish soup stock (dashi)
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp  sugar

Instructions
 

  • Heat diet soup in medium casserole.
  • Add sauce and sugar to the soybeans.
  • Add chicken and cook for a couple of minutes over low heat.
  • Incorporate the onion and cook for a few more minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk your eggs.
  • Bring the soup to a full boil, sprinkle the onions with the eggs and green.
  • Cover and reduce heat for 1 minute to low or until the egg has been baked. Take heat away.
  • Serve with steamed rice in deep bowls.

Notes

You can hold the remains in an airtight container and store them for up to 2-3 days in the refrigerator for a week in the freezer.
